Inspired by the eighteenth-century novel, this deck uses tarot as a symbolic structure for its characters. On the A, Q, K and J cards, Spades, Hearts, Clubs and Diamonds correspond to Swords, Cups, Wands and Pentacles. The remaining cards offer original symbols and partial clues to key events. Viewers reconstruct what is withheld: desire emerges through suggestion, imagination and what remains unseen.
